Slightly misleading...

This book is a wonderful resource, but not necessarily for accurately portraying the music. The piano part listed is an embellished chord melody, which works great if you want to play the song without vocals, but which isn't what Stevie is playing on keys. I haven't gone through everything (obviously! There's 75 tunes!), but I know "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" is in the key of C where Stevie plays it in B and that the intro is not quite right on. I can only imagine it is the same for other tunes. That said, as far as I can tell, they have the right chord changes and that's something that has always thrown me off when trying to transcribe Stevie's work from records. Simply having all the chord changes is invaluable to me and a great learning tool. I've seen a book advertised that is 12 note-for-note transcriptions that will probably satisfy those who want to learn what he's playing, but if you aren't too concerned with playing HIS voicings in the exact same key, this book can be a lot of fun.

This book is great if you want to play the piano and the singing melody on the piano at the same time. What I didnt like about the book was exactly that. I wanted to play the songs on piano like on the cd. Not with the singing on the piano. It makes it harder to play it than if you were just playing the chords like stevie wonder does.

Great anthology!

I have been looking for a comprehesive overview of Sevie's music for piano for quite some time. This book gives a nice coverage of his songs during his career up till 1998. All songs are in the original settings, so certainly not for beginners. The only pity is the fact that the songs are in alphabetical order. I would have preferrred to have them ordered in chronological order per album.

Warren Ellis took over a rather (imho) lackluster book when he came onto Stormwatch and made it shine. What followed were some amazing tales which really laid the ground work for the now classic series, The Authority. Towards the end of Stormwatch, this one-shot was released which is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL if you're a fan of Stormwatch and The Authority. So what happens when one of the greatest writers working today sets out to tell a tale involving Stormwatch and the Wildcats tussling with one of the greatest creatures of twentieth century film? Absolute chaos and bloodshed ensue. This may seem like hyperbole since it's said so often in comics and other media but be warned because NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME. Great read, highly recommended.

About the Author

Paul Schmid-Hempel studied biology at the University of Zurich and in 1982 he received his PhD on the ecology of the Sahara Desert ant. He went on to do post-doctoral work at Oxford University (1982-1984) where he worked on an analysis of optimal strategies of animals. He then moved to the Zoological Institute of the University of Basel, where he was part of that group which set a new course for evolutionary ecology. In 1991 he was appointed professor for experimental ecology at the ETH Zurich, and is now Director of the Genetic Diversity Centre there. Since 2008 he has also been a non-resident Permanent Fellow of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. His current research focuses on host-parasite interactions and co-evolution, maintenance of genetic diversity, recombination, social systems, immune defence strategies, and ecological immunology. He has published around 180 original articles, two books, and many articles in newspapers as part of his work in the public understanding of science.

1) As any seasoned trader knows, managing the trade after entry is every bit as important as the entry. What's Barry's strategy for trade management? A percentage trailing stop...unprofessional and another strike against the 'sellers' of the industry.
2) He tucked 12 books into one. He could have written the meat of the book in two chapters.
3) Most important!!! I coded the system using multiple data streams and all 5 indicators into easylanguage and it's not profitable.

Book added to my understanding

I did take Topdog courses, the book added to my understanding. I would suggest that before the next printing you review the charts. Some notes on charts say the opposite of what is meant. One chart did not show all that was being explained. Because I took the course I understood what was happening, but for somebody who has not this could be confusing.

A taster but nothing more

I own a number of Barry's courses and think they are a great resource for learning how to make a consistent profit trading the financial markets.

This book takes a very superficial look at Barry's approach, methods and system for trend trading. The book suffers from "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". One really needs a complete understanding of his approach and specific methods to make consistent profits.

As a taster it's fine, however you get what you pay for. So if you're serious about wanting to trade profitably then go and buy his full course. It's a worthwhile investment
