The Suzuki Method(R) of Talent Education is based on Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's view that every child is born with ability, and that people are the product of their environment. According to Dr. Suzuki, a world-renowned violinist and teacher, the greatest joy an adult can know comes from developing a child's potential so he/she can express all that is harmonious and best in human beings. Genius
By R. Viewer
as a harpist trained outside the Suzuki school, I had never look at the Suzuki books. They seem to be perfect for teaching, introducing each skill one at a time. I think learning from these books would be much less overwhelming than most harpists find it to be, since skills like playing with 2 hands are so well separated from learning new fingering patterns. I have also found the book very useful as exercises when I want to concentrate on buffing up my form and techniques.

Words for songs
By karen0017
My kids have followed the Suzuki curriculum for several instruments. I think the Harp progression is probably the best organized in terms of cleanly adding skills one at a time for each song. I would recommend it to anyone learning harp -- child or adult, "Suzuki" or "traditional".
It can be a lot easier to learn songs when you know the words. Here is one set:
Twinkle A
- Taka, Taka, Jump, Jump
- Mississippi Hot Dog
- Cinderella Princess
Twinkle B
- I love you
- Ice cream cone
Twinkle C
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky

Nice explanations of how to switch fingers
By Amazon Customer
A primer on the basics of harp playing on the classical Suzucki method. Nice explanations of how to switch fingers. Fingering is marked so not as to leave the beginner wondering. I have been playing folk harp for a year and was curious as to what the traditional method was taught. Picked up some good tips.
